Trails in Nature
We like to say, "our product is Nature", one of the reasons is that we have several trails leaving from Aldeia de Pontes. Trails for all ages and with different levels of difficulty.

Circular trail
Approximately 2km long, it starts in Aldeia de Pontes, follows the Laboreiro river, passes 2 mills and some very pleasant wells for a dip, passes the Contador well, the Pontes Aqueduct and returns to Aldeia. Easy difficulty.

Pontes Waterfall
Round trip is 1.8km. Leaving Aldeia de Pontes you will pass the Aqueduct and then turn left and just follow the signs. A very photogenic and pleasant place for a swim. Easy difficulty.

Cavada Velha Bridge
The round trip is about 4km. Leaving Aldeia de Pontes, just follow the left bank of the Laboreiro River upstream, until you find this bridge, which is one of the most emblematic monuments in Castro Laboreiro. A place of unique beauty and good for a swim. Easy difficulty.

Inverneiras trail (PR VII)
Circular trail that allows you to discover the Laboreiro Valley and its Inverneiras. Leaving from Aldeia de Pontes, it is a total distance of 7km, it is an official trail, very well marked and of an easy level of difficulty.

Wild Goat trail
Round trip is about 8km. Leaving the village of Pontes towards the neighboring town of Ameijoeira, right along the border there is a dirt road, climbing about 2km you will find the Ameijoeira swamp, natural habitat of the Wild Goat. Easy difficulty.

First stage of the Great Route of Peneda Gerês National Park
It connects the village of Pontes to the town of Castro Laboreiro over a distance of 7.5 km. It is an official trail, very well marked and of an easy level of difficulty.

Waterfalls Fechas do Malho
Round trip approximately 18 km. Leaving the village of Pontes, it follows the Laboreiro River downstream, practically until it joins the waters of the Lindoso dam. Of difficult difficulty.

Castrejo trail (PR III)
Circular trail, approximately 22km. Leaving Aldeia de Pontes you have to go to Ponte da Cavada Velha to start this fantastic circular trail, which passes through centuries-old sidewalks, fantastic oak groves, Roman bridges and much more. This trail offers a comprehensive overview of the Castrejo territory. It is an official trail, very well marked and of medium difficulty but of great length.
